This past weekend I spent a whirlwind 36 hours in Austin, celebrating my cousin's bachelorette party. It was my first trip to Austin, and we stayed in a super-charming Airbnb on the East side of Austin, within walking distance of a number of cute bars, restaurants and food truck parks, which is where we spent Friday night. Our location was really central-- we were no more than a 20 minute Uber ride away from most spots. We spent Saturday grabbing brunch at Hilliside Farmacy, walking the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and exploring Barton Springs. Nighttime brought dinner at The Hightower and bar hopping on Rainey Street.
Like I said, a whirlwind 36 hours. Overall I left Austin with the following thoughts:
1. Cleveland needs to up its taco game
2. Austin is one of the most dog-friendly US cities I've visited
3. I'm definitely going back!
