September in Pictures

September was such a whirlwind!! Nick and I entertained 3 different sets of friends for sit-down dinners, for 3 Fridays. It was SO much fun, but we were so caught up in the planning that the whole month just flew by!

Each of the dinners had a theme: the first one was Mexican, the second Italian, and the third was Southern comfort food - all themes picked to be a perfect match of home cooked and assembled. And that my friends, is the trick to executing dinner parties: don't try and make everything yourself. Assembly is an excellent strategy too!

Party time! The bad news is the I completely forgot to use these straws, not once, not twice, but ALL THREE TIMES!

Early in the month we took a walk through some newly finished trails along the river - incredible view and a nice short 1 mile trail to walk the dogs! Post walk we stopped by Forest City Brewery for some human refreshments.

I love Cleveland's many bridges - some old, some new.

I finally read Garance Dore's book cover to cover, and launched some gorgeous new earrings, including these beautiful rose quartz ones at Bombay Taxi Boutique .

Nick and I spent a Saturday night at The Cleveland Play House , watching the theatrical performance of Shakespeare in Love. It was staged at the Alan Theatre, which might be my favorite theater in Cleveland because of its intimate scale.

September also saw the opening of the long-awaited Brewnuts restaurant, and let's just say it was worth the wait. If you're a donut fan, you need to stop in this charmingly styled restaurant - from its gorgeous green tile and palm print wallpaper, to its quirky "donut mess with Cleveland" neon sign, this spot is an Instagram dream!! Side bar: The LARA ring I wear on my thumb gets lot of compliments, and is a comfortable statement look with a little bit of edge. You can check out the ring yourself right here .

The temperatures dropped half way through the month, and even though they went back up, Mother Nature was a little confused.

I did a LOT of cocktail research this month too - stay tuned for an upcoming cocktail- related post so you too can enjoy the fruits of my research!

I ate a lot of ice cream (this is pretty standard), but this cone was extra special because it was a thank you gift from Mason's Creamery for donating water and toilet paper to be transported to a Puerto Rican village as part of rescue efforts there.

And last, but certainly not least, I took to Instagram to walk my insta-friends through the Indian Festival of Navratri - 9 nights of celebration, each with a different color to mark the day. If you're not following me on Instagram - head over there to see fun peeks from my life and my business!
