If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I’m more than a LITTLE obsessed with astrology. This is not a new thing - I’ve had a thing for astrology since as far back as I can remember. I think it’s partly because I’m a very proud Leo and that’s kinda our thing.

Anyway, 2019 has just been a blockbuster year for my astrology addiction with new apps and new Instagram accounts that have my mind blown and laughing so hard, sometimes at the same time.

The Pattern App: The first thing I want to share with you is my newest astrology discovery, thanks to my friend Lauren Welch who tweeted about it. Lauren, a fellow July Leo (yes, there IS a difference between July Leos and August Leos) really knows her astrology stuff, so when she recommends something, I take it seriously. You need to know your time of birth and location for this free app and then it gives you your astrological overview (and a daily report - mine drops at 9 am every day) and it is WAY TOO ACCURATE.

Here’s one of mine from this week - there were a series of screens on this topic, but here’s one screen shot.

So here’s the part you may not know: I am currently looking for a new job, and I’m having a really hard time narrowing it down to one thing or two things, or frankly narrowing it down at all, because I have a varied skill set and varied interests, and all I know is that I want the next step of my career to feel energizing and exciting and like I’m learning a whole lot of things I didn’t know before. I want an ADVENTURE!!! It is absolutely a feeling I can’t shake, and I DO want to know more.

I have recommended this app to a few people who are similarly into astrology and they have all come back with the same type of commentary around it being creepy in it’s accuracy.

Co-Star Astrology: I’ve talked about Co-Star before, and this was my favorite astrology app until Pattern, but it’s worth talking about even though I’ve downgraded it to my second favorite. This one also requires your birth time and location and also gives you an overview as well as a daily update. However, it combines it with some really way out there art, and sometimes the daily messaging is a little bit out there so sometimes I find myself more confused by my forecast then anything. Nonetheless, it’s fun to see the differences and similarities between Co-Star and Pattern on a daily basis.

Regardless of whether you download the Co-Star app, I highly recommend following their Instagram account. It is very amusing and highly shareable. Here’s an example of a recent post:

Sanctuary on Instagram is another fun astrology-related graphics account worth following. They group their graphics by the elements of astrology: Fire signs (I am one), Earth signs, Water signs and Air signs, so you need to know which one you are so you don’t miss yours, but that’s an easy google search if you don’t know it already.

Last but not least, I have one more Instagram account for you to follow - astrotwins. Need some help getting through this mercury retrograde? You can get help in one quick instagram post!

Whether you believe in astrology or not is besides the point - if you believe, I hope these give you some additional guidance. And if you don’t I hope it’s entertaining all the same!

Could all this astrology stuff just be confirmation bias? Maybe.

I prefer to think of it as a little bit of magic.

What do the stars have in store for you?
