1 Outfit 3 Ways: Fall Florals

I’ve been a lot more focused on consuming intentionally, meaning I’m trying to stick with buying only things I need, rather than want. I would say I’ve now reached the point where I’m 80-20 with this principle - don’t worry, I’m still buying some things I want, but only if I know that I can get my cost per wear down to $1 or less. As a result, I’m always looking for ways to re-purpose clothing that’s already in my closet, and thought it would be fun to do a 1 Outfit 3 Ways post.

Last week, I was invited to Laura of Pembroke at Pinecrest for their fall fashion preview blogger event, so I took the opportunity to play with the dress I was wearing and create some different looks.

As night time temperatures start to drop, I love dark florals paired with faux fur vests for a cozy look. This vest is Dylan Los Angeles, available at Laura of Pembroke at Pinecrest. As of this writing, this vest retails for $155

Although I hate to admit it, it’s going to get a lot colder soon, and when it’s too cold for a vest, I love the look of sweater coat. This one with a faux fur hood is by Love Token, available at Laura of Pembroke and retails at $166 as of this writing.

While I am buying some very select pieces for fall, I love the concept of acquiring pieces that can work with a lot of different pieces I already own to create some fun new looks. Both the vest and the sweater jacket would look fabulous with jeans or skinny pants, paired with booties and long sleeved tees or blouses that I already own. I think they would both look super chic paired with a cocktail dress, bringing an air of casualness to otherwise cocktail attire.

What are you looking to add to your fall wardrobe this year?
