I love the summer, and July is my most favorite month of the year. It's the month that Nick and I got married, and its also my birthday month! The weather is generally really great in Cleveland, and there's so much to do - and I've been squeezing it all in. Between spending time kayaking, on the beach, catching baseball games, hanging out with friends it was a packed July, and so much fun! Nick and I celebrated our 13 year wedding Anniversary (!!!!) in early July! Since its around the July 4th holiday, we spent an amazing weekend enjoying the sunshine, including a little kayaking. To be completely honest, this day was pretty choppy out on the lake, but it was fun nonetheless.
We spent a lot of time at the park - I love the view from under the huge willow tree at Edgewater Park.
I did fairly well getting 10,000 steps most days in July. My favorite days were the ones I started by walking the dogs to the top of Edgewater Park at sunrise - these views were my reward.
We are so spoiled with our beaches in Cleveland. If you live here and you're not taking advantage of the beach, you're doing summer wrong!
My friend Nolan has been creating fun pieces of art lately - this one was using the names of his friends. I love mine!!!
The golden light!! I caught so many sunrises and sunsets in July - they were all different and beautiful!
We caught an Indian's game too - this was such a hot, sweaty day, but a fun way to spend a Friday evening!
I had an incredible birthday celebration that lasted almost an entire week: Indians game, followed by a night with the Cleveland Orchestra at their outdoor summer venue, my favorite pizza and cake on Sunday, and my actual birthday involved an amazing spa day, lunch with my friend Abby, a photography class, takeout from my favorite thai restaurant. And if that wasn't enough, there was a picnic with girlfriends the day after, and sushi with my friends Alexa, Suzanne and Megan the night after that!
I ended the month as a hair model for my long time stylist and friend Carolina at Tease. She made me feel like J-Lo (with whom I incidentally share a birthday) - I almost never have my hair up (except for workouts) and although this was way outside my comfort zone, I didn't hate it! If anything, I kinda LOVED it!!
