Real Weddings: Kate & Mike

Last year I made my first foray into bridal jewelry with Bombay Taxi. I initially believed that most brides would use my pieces as bridesmaids gifts, especially given all the shades of blush pink I had curated in the collection. Imagine my surprise when I had not one, but TWO brides wear Bombay Taxi pieces as part of their wedding day!!

One of the brides is my fellow blogger and friend, Kate from Greatest Escapist. Funny story about how I met Kate: we had been talking on Twitter and Instagram for a few months but had never met in person because she lived in New Jersey at the time. One day, I was walking into one of my favorite boutiques in Tremont, Banyan Tree, when I suddenly stopped, pushed up my sunglasses and exclaimed " are you Suburban Sweetheart" - and sure enough, it was Kate! In the years that followed, Kate changed her blog name and online monikers, and moved back to Cleveland, specifically Tremont, and we've had many opportunities to hang out in real life since then!

Kate had picked out a few Bombay Taxi pieces since I started my business, but little did I know that she was planning to wear Bombay Taxi to her wedding!!!

Kate picked these gorgeous KIARA Moonstone earrings as her wedding earrings. Moonstone is believed to represent new beginnings, enhance intuition, and bring success and good fortune in love - I cannot imagine a better choice for wedding jewelry!

Not only that, but Kate took it one step further and had her wedding photographers, The Oberports, take pictures specifically highlighting her earrings!! And to take it one step further, the Oberports and Kate were both incredibly generous and shared the pictures with me for use on this blog!

Kate blogged about her wedding and wedding vendors in greater detail in her own post - feel free to check it out here and here . If you're a fan of weddings, or planning one of your own, you will not be disappointed.

Huge thanks to both Kate and The Oberports for their support and generosity.
