Embracing the 90s...again

The resurgence of 90s fashion has me feeling deeply conflicted. For one, I refuse to believe that anything from my teen years can be classified as "vintage", and besides, I've been there done that. And yet, I find myself irresistibly drawn to a couple of these trends, specifically florals and chokers.

I bought a floral blouse at Zara lately, and I've been pairing it with black skinny jeans and heels, and Bombay Taxi's very own HEERA bracelet - a super fun look for fall. And despite my intense dislike of tattoo chokers, I have been intrigued by more architectural gold-tone chokers, particularly when paired with a bodycon dress. My current favorite is Bombay Taxi's HEMA necklace, which is very similar to another white gold necklace that was a gift from my parents... in the 90s.

My look from a recent wedding: HEMA necklace paired with a Banana Republic bodycon sheath dress, and a red lip.

I'm seriously considering a floral bodycon dress next- why not just wear both trends together?

Birkenstocks were almost ubiquitous this summer, and I even spotted the occasional pair of overalls, but there are two 90s return trends in which I will definitely NOT partake: chunky platform heels and chunky highlights. Basically, if the trend has the word "chunky" in it, I probably want nothing to do with it!

How are you feeling about the return of the 90s? Any must haves or must have nots?
