Best Skincare Buys!

A few weeks ago, I asked my Instafriends for their recommendations on their favorite skincare products they’re using these days. I’m happy to say I received a range of recommendations, so I’m going to share them with you today, categorized by price.

Affordable (under $30)

I love Pixi’s makeup but haven’t tried their skincare yet - this rose oil blend was one of the recommendations.

On the shop small front, OY-L’s face cream is clean and natural, and a local, woman-owned business. Double down on supporting woman-owned small businesses by shopping this at Flower Power studio. Additional recommended products from Flower Power include the Brown and Coconut Balancing Cleanser and NOTO Botanics mist toner.

Cetaphil Dermacontrol Oil Control Face Wash: “No more oily AF skin, but it’s also nourished”

Products by The Ordinary showed up multiple times, and most of their products are well under $20. Some favorite recommendations included Niacinamide, Vitamin C, AHA, and Retinol.

Drunk Elephant was also recommended by several people, T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial was one of the product recommendations.

CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Face Lotion was an un-fancy but effective moisturizer recommended specifically for those using retinol.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar serum

I also loved the recommendation of a Gua Sha tool from Herbivore.

Mid-Tier (between $31-$100)

Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence: one friend added this to her quarantine skincare routine.

I’ve been using a lot of Biossance products in my own routine, so I was happy to see the Squalane + Phyto Retinol serum on this list.

Tula anti-aging discovery kit. If you’re in your late 20s and just getting started in your skincare journey, this kit might be a great place to start!

Another discovery kit, the Sunday Riley Night Routine kit has everything you need.

Another Drunk Elephant favorite, the T.L.C. Framboos Resurfacing Night serum was recommended multiple times.

Clean beauty brand Crunchi also came recommended for both skincare and makeup!

Luxe (above $100)

The OG skincare that has been around forever - La Mer! The Hydrating serum comes highly recommended by one of my insta-friends!

I’m not entirely certain eye cream even works, but my friend who recommended Royal Fern eye cream has excellent skin, so maybe it does?

Vitner’s Daughter is a glossy magazine + Instagram favorite - glad to see it recommended by someone in real life!

Do you have some favorites you don’t see on this list? Drop them in the comments!
