Friday Five 3.15.19

Why hi there! It’s been a little bit since i was on here! Africa was AMAZING!!! I have so many amazing pictures and posts to share - I have to figure out how to do it in a way that’s interesting and not obnoxious.

Earlier this week I received such a high compliment from blogger and entrepreneur Stephanie DeLacy of A life en route - “she always has good book, podcast and more recs. I’ve never been disappointed in one of her recommendations.” THANK YOU Stephanie for the amazing compliment - you made my week!!

With that, let’s dive right into this week’s Friday Five!

Eat: Cinnamon Toast is one of life’s greatest little pleasures, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Do: Right before I left on vacation, I signed up as a member of a group called Women Who Hike. Women Who Hike is a nationwide organization of women, who hike. They have monthly hikes of varying degrees of difficulty, and if you’re a member, you’re notified of ALL the hikes, so you can meet up with women even if you’re on vacation. Membership is a one-time fee of $16. To be clear, I’m not yet a Woman who Hikes, but I am SO excited to go on my very first one.

Travel: Earlier this week, Google doubled down on its travel tools and now offers Google Hotels in addition to Google Flights. Here’s an article on the new Google release.

If your travel plans include Europe, you may need to get a travel authorization in advance of your visit. It’s still unclear on what this process would look like (do you have to have tickets before you apply? How long does the authorization take?) but it sounds like last minute trips to Europe may not be quite as easy or spontaneous as they are today.

Traveling solo is a growing trend particularly among women. Want to travel solo but don’t know how? Here are some tips from experienced solo travelers.

That’s it for this week! Hope you enjoy some cinnamon toast this weekend!

If you have recommendations of things for me to check out, email me at bombaytaxiboutique@gmail.com or DM me on Instagram with your suggestions, and I might just feature them and you in a future Friday Five!
