Favorite Things I Bought in 2020

2020 - the year of so many packages. And there was no shortage of them coming to our house. Of all the things I bought this year, I thought it would be fun to do a quick recap of the things I use daily or weekly, and will 100% buy over and over again. Lucky for everyone, there are only 5 things that fit these criteria, so here we go!

  1. Flora Guppy: You may recall that this was the summer that I successfully grew a cut flower garden, which I harvested weekly (sometimes more than once weekly) and made lots of bouquets. I’m a very amateur floral arranger, and one of the things I struggled with was getting my flowers to stand up the way I wanted without floral foam or wire. I first heard about Flora Guppy from my friend Megh, and I cannot recommend this enough - it fits in nearly any vase (except for a bud vase) and will help you create amazing arrangements even if you’re a complete beginner.

2. Laptop stand: When I first wrote about this product way back in late March, I really didn’t expect that it would remain such a relevant part of my life. But here we are and yes, it is.

3. Blinkist: I first wrote about Blinkist here, and this remains something I come back to several times a week for a quick read-up on a topic, or catch-up if someone I’m speaking with mentions a non-fiction book. if personal growth is one of your goals for 2021, this app is a great place to start.

4. Revlon Hair Dryer Brush: Yes, you’ve probably heard about this and wondered if it really works. The answer is yet. Although I will offer you some words of caution: despite what it says it can do, do NOT use this to dry your hair from soaking wet. Over time, you will fry it. Use a hairdryer to rough-dry your hair, put on some heat protectant, and then use it.

5. Momofuku Savory Salt: I first tried this is part of a 3-pack of Momofuku seasoned salts, and it’s the one I use most. It really does make a difference, and while it’s not as salty as pure salt (obviously), it adds really incredible flavor to your food. I’m almost ready for my full-sized refill!
