Friday Five 2.8.19

I’ve been holding off on a lot of buying so this week’s Friday Five is mainly reading, and since I’m in a real wanderlust mode, I’ve also included a couple of travel stories!

Read: This article made me roll my eyes SO HARD. It’s such a ridiculous notion that gold belongs to one culture over another when it’s been an integral part of several cultures for several thousands of years.

Since February is the month of love, both platonic and romantic, I bring you this: The story of same sex penguins in Australia who are raising a baby penguin together. I teared up a little reading this - LOVE IS LOVE!

Cook: This was a pretty crazy week for me, so meals needed to be super quick and easy. Spaghetti Carbonara is one of my favorite easy go-to recipes, and this recipe is a really good one. I like to sprinkle some toasted breadcrumbs on top for a little extra oomph.

Visit: If you happen to find yourself in London after April 11th this year, make sure you stop by the V&A Museum which is reopening it’s jewelry gallery with 80 new pieces to mark the 200th anniversary of the births of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Here’s a travel guide based on your zodiac sign. Why yes, I probably WOULD LOVE a trip to the Hamptons in a gorgeous house.

Cheers to a wonderful weekend!!

If you have recommendations of things for me to check out, email me at bombaytaxiboutique@gmail.com or DM me on Instagram with your suggestions, and I might just feature them and you in a future Friday Five!
