I’m a huge fan of podcasts and I’ve got a whole list of them that I listen to on a regular basis. Today I’m sharing 5 of them with you!!
BBC Global News Podcast: Like the name suggests, this twice daily podcast give you a quick review of all the global news of the day. This can get a little overwhelming to be honest since it’s twice a day, but you don’t have to listen to each episode to stay up to date. Just delete the ones that don’t interest you or seem repetitive
Stuff You Should Know: I think most people know about this podcast, but I didn’t, so I suppose I’m willing to take a gamble that some of you may have also missed this. This podcast explores all kinds of topics, include this week’s episode that covers the Tulsa “Race Riots” - a conversation that has received revived attention because of HBO’s The Watchmen
Pop Culture Happy Hour: This is an NPR pop cast about movie, books, music, and what to watch on streaming services. I’ve found that I really trust the reviews on this podcast - they really know their stuff.
Royally Obsessed: Speaking on pop culture, this is has been a big year for Royal news. You probably already know that I’m an Anglophile, but you may not know that I also harbor a not-so-secret fascination with the royal family. This podcast satisfies all my royal gossip itches.
The Hunted: I talked about this in this week’s Bombay Taxi Insider newsletter (you can subscribe at the very bottom of the page). The Hunted is a serialized podcast brought to you by the same people who created Law and Order. Parker Posey plays the lead character in this scripted series, playing a U.S. Marshall chasing 4 dangerous escaped convicts. It's not like an audiobook because there are no narrator descriptions - it's more like a TV show without the visuals. The only downside is the last 2 minutes of each episode are credits, so you may want to skip past those. The whole series is only 8 episodes, and at under 30 minutes each, I binged this in one afternoon.
