ABOUT BOMBAY TAXI
Bombay Taxi was launched on November 24, 2015 by founder Shibani Faehnle. We love the concept of affordable luxury, and have thoughtfully curated a selection of limited-edition jewelry hand-crafted by artisans in India and in Cleveland, Ohio. We appreciate unique pieces, and carry no more than 25 of any given piece, with some pieces being truly one-of-a-kind. Our jewelry is named after Bollywood actresses, since the color. music, and emotion of Bollywood are so entwined in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) that serves as the inspiration for our store.
Hi! I'm Shibani! A transplant from Mumbai, India, I've lived in Cleveland, Ohio for the past 14 years with my husband Nick, and our three rescue dogs - Clair, Webster, and Reggie. As someone who wears a LOT of black and shops at a lot of popular stores, I've always used jewelry as a way to stand out from a sea of sameness.
At different times, I've used it as a styling tool to help direct the eye to some of my favorite features - long earrings which make people look at my smile, a statement choker necklace to direct someone's eyes to my face - the list goes on and on.
Because I recognize how jewelry can enhance a look, I see it as so much more than just an accessory. In fact, in my Indian culture, jewelry is so much more than an accessory - it is a personal statement, an heirloom, a way of meaningful gifting, and most of all, a language of love between partners, siblings, friends, parents and children.
If you're new to our online space, check out some of my favorite pieces in our earrings selection and stop by our blog where I talk about style and travel and using them as inspiration for your everyday life.
I love building meaningful connections with people, so stop by and say hello on my favorite social media platform, Instagram. Thank you for learning a little about me - I'm looking forward to learning about you! If you'd like to learn even more about me, here are 10 Fun Facts about me!
We have worked with a number of brands including Tiffany & Co., Madewell, Playhouse Square, The Movement Factory, and Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, to name a few. For additional details, or to collaborate on a project, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
