Unpopular opinion: I don’t like Thanksgiving turkey. I have honestly never had a Thanksgiving turkey that I’ve died over - they always look so pretty, but you bite into it, and it’s just … meh.. I would much rather have a turkey leg over a turkey breast, and much prefer the sides over the bird. But things being what they are, there’s always turkey, and there’s usually loads of turkey leftovers. So once you’ve had a sandwich or two, what do you do with the leftovers?
Last year I combined Turkey with some Indian flavor using this Turkey Biryani recipe, and it was SO good!! Pro-tip: top it with some leftover French’s fried onions from your green bean casserole. Adds the perfect crunch.
For a more comforting childhood recipe, you can’t really go wrong with some Turkey Tetrazinni.
For a gluten free option, swap out the flour tortillas for corn tortillas in this turkey enchilada recipe.
My disastrous baking attempts have been well-documented on Instagram, so I would probably buy the crust for this Turkey Pot Pie which looks perfect for a cold day!
I love Chicken and Wild Rice soup especially since it’s gluten free, and this turkey swap sounds absolutely delicious!
I LOVE a handheld pie, and empanadas are no exception. This one has the benefit of the added pre-made empanada crust!!
If you overeat and feel the need to go eat clean and whole 30-ish for a few days, this recipe for Turkey Tortilla soup is just what the nutritionist ordered. Also if you get a can of chipotle chilis, use one instead of the chili powder and the green chilis in a can. Trust me on this.
ENJOY!! See you Friday post our collective food comas!!!
