Cleveland Events: Designer Dress Days 2020

I was invited to share information about this year’s Designer Dress Days event in exchange for a reserved spot on Preview Day. I loved working with NCJW/CLE last year and am happy to support them again during this difficult year. As always, all opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting content like this, and I hope you will consider attending this year’s event.

Designer Dress Days is National Council of Jewish Women/Cleveland’s (NCJW/CLE) yearly sale of new or gently-loved women’s designer clothing. This is NCJW Cleveland’s largest fundraising event, and the dollars raised are used to fund NCJW’s many programs, including those under its social justice initiative: resources for children in foster care and young adults aging out of the foster care program, fighting human trafficking, women’s health and reproductive justice, among several others.

Like everything else in 2020, this year’s Designer Dress Days has been impacted by the pandemic, but it is returning in a safe, socially distant format. There are some significant changes from last year’s event.

  1. The annual sale will take place at a new 2020 location: Thriftique Showroom (5055 Richmond Road in Bedford Heights).

  2. Neither jewelry nor accessories will be available this year. This is a major bummer because I scored TWO beautiful bags last year, but because jewelry and accessories draw the biggest crowds, it’s completely understandable that they skipped this in 2020.

  3. Pandemic pricing of gently-worn exclusive designer brands. Expect to find some really great deals this year.

  4. Unlike prior years, the sale is OPEN Saturday.

  5. Masks and social distancing are required. Only a limited number of people will be allowed in at one time, so please be prepared to wait for a short time to get in. They will only be accepting credit/debit cards to minimize contact.
